Not for the first time this year, we heard and read that President Museveni had announced a Cabinet Reshuffle. I noticed that the word “official” was used a little bit too frequently just to emphasize the authenticity of this new cabinet list, as opposed to the one that made rounds online a couple of weeks ago, that government spokesman Ofwono Opondo, rather inexplicably, later reportedly attributed to Sarah Kagingo.
Today’s cabinet list, though, isn’t quite my business. At least not as far as this article goes.
Almost six months ago, a guy called Amama Mbabazi was removed from the Office of the Prime Minister in what papers then called a lone reshuffle.
But as careless as most of us tend to be some times, the chaps at the Office of the Prime Minister either missed the memo, or have since forgotten that they have a website to update.
Some sections of the website, today, still indicate that that guy – the single biggest content- [or news-] powerhouse in the country ever since that lone reshuffle – is still the Prime Minister. Shame!
